Totems - Muir Woods
"When one tugs at a single thing in nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world.”
― John Muir
“Keep close to nature’s heart and break clear away once in a while, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.”

I grew up on a remote rural farm in Central Illinois. Since then I have lived in Chicago and now call San Francisco my home. I find myself going back and forth between these two worlds. One of nature and landscape and sky and the other of the urban environment. I was fortunate as a kid, basically an only child, in that I had a tree house, and there was a timber with a creek and two ponds where I would spend my summers and the seasons exploring, getting lost in the wonder that is nature. I am blessed to have access to both worlds where I can be a kid again when I need and return back into civilization renewed.
