Betwixt and Between
I live in the cracks of life.
I plant my roots in the shallowest
Of crevices, the nooks and crannies of broken
Crust where something has given way.
I exploit to what extent I can of hard divide,
To make a life for however brief or long.
Just to say,
I am alive.
For now, here, in this fraction of a fraction of a moment
I have to be tough, strong, and fight until
I can no more, until I say enough and
Let go my grasp here.
:: Epilogue ::
In the slightest of things,
In the least obvious choice,
Perchance there to light upon
A moment of Grace.
